A warm welcome back to all our returning ISB families. I hope you had a restful break, or that the rest will come after drop-off tomorrow. We are very much looking forward to the term ahead.
Term 2 is always a busy one, with a great deal taking place across the school. I will share a full list of Term 2 events in my message at the end of this week so you have a clear overview of what is coming up.
I would also like to extend a very warm welcome to all new ISB families. You have joined an amazing school community, and we are delighted to have you with us.
During the first week back, we will be sharing the Term 2 Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) programme. Sign-up for ECAs will open towards the end of the week, with activities beginning in Week 3, starting the week beginning 19 January. I will also be sending out further information regarding ECA logistics during Ramadhan, as some activities will be affected.
This term we will be celebrating a number of cultural events, including National Day and Chinese New Year. There is a great deal to look forward to and much to celebrate together.
Please also note that school production auditions are taking place this term. Full details, including how to take part, can be found here:
I am also in the process of sending out the new PE activity rotations for Year 3 and above. Please look out for an individual message on Seesaw today. PE timetables remain unchanged, including the day your child has PE each week. Only the activities will rotate (Yr3+).
Later this term, we will hold Parent Teacher Consultations. This will be an opportunity to meet with your child’s class teacher to discuss their attainment, progress, and achievements in detail. Consultations will take place on 10th and 11th February, with appointment booking information to follow. This will be followed by the mid-term break the next week.
We also have a number of educational experiences and school trips planned this term. Further details will be shared through individual year group Seesaw messages as arrangements are confirmed.
In the coming weeks, we will be opening another order for House shirts and school jumpers or cardigans. More information will be shared shortly.
🗓️ Please note that Friday 16 January is a public holiday.
Finally, if any families require new Seesaw codes, please contact the Primary Office and they will be happy to assist.
We are very much looking forward to a positive and productive Term 2.
If you have any questions about any aspect of school life, please do not hesitate to message in Seesaw.
