Head of Primary Message Week 19

Chinese New Year celebrations culminated in a series of fantastic performances today, from the dancing, singing and acting in Assembly to the Lion Dancers who traversed the school with their musical accompaniment. The sharing of cultural events and celebrations is what makes ISB such a great community.

Next week, Year 5 will be on camp in Temburong. Everyone is really looking forward to the experience and we know students will have some incredible stories to share when they return.

We have had a focus on Maths this week, with students taking their learning outdoors. Seesaw has been flooded with great Maths learning, not least from Pre Kindy and Kindy. You can see a gallery of what they have been up to HERE.

Parents will also start to see more examples of writing within Seesaw. We are working to build a comprehensive portfolio of written work to show progress in writing over time. Look out for this alongside the other updates posted to Seesaw for each child. We recommend using both the Family and Student accounts as outlined in this overview HERE.

We have sent information through Seesaw this week about Class Photos. Please ensure messages in Seesaw are checked regularly for the latest updates. 📸

This week, Pre Kindy have been drawing what they see, Kindy have been mixing colours to make new ones, Reception have been writing independently, Year 1 have been exploring materials and their properties, Year 2 have been rehearsing for a series of special performances, Year 3 have been writing their final drafts of An Egyptian Cinderella, Year 4 have been creating radial paper relief structures, Year 5 have been writing about Chinese New Year and Year 6 have been using adverbs to express time.

If you have any questions, comments or feedback about anything we do, please do not hesitate to contact me via messages in Seesaw.
