Head of Primary Message Week 30

What a way to end the week, with musical performances involving students from Year 2 to Year 5. The opportunity to perform on stage, under the lights, with microphones and in front of an audience, is such an important part of school life. Our desire is for every child in school to have these experiences. And who knows where that could lead... One day, while performing on a West End of Broadway stage, they may look back at their first performance at ISB and think; 'that's where is all started'.

A huge thank you to our Music team for putting the performances together and a thank you also to parents who joined us. Not to be outdone, Year 1 will be on stage next week (see below) and Year 6 later in the term (see below). Did you know we are also hosting a Reception and Year 1 Music concert later in the year?

There is plenty still to come this term, with Year 4 embarking on their Seria Sleepover next week. As a progression from the single night sleepover at school in Year 3, students in Year 4 go slightly further afield and enjoy two days (one night) in Seria. This is all leading up to a multiple day residential adventure in Temburong in Year 5 and an international adventure in Year 6.

Our youngest students are also out and about quite a lot over the next few weeks, with Reception and Year 1 at Jerudong Park, Kindy visiting Kilgus stables. Take a look below for all the key dates and please keep an eye on Seesaw messages for regular updates.

House Captains

This week our House Captains got very wet, having wet sponges thrown at them to mark the end of their student leadership roles. We will soon be turning to Year 5 for the next cohort of House Captains, the highest form of student leadership in Primary. If you are in Year 5, will you apply to join Mrs Florence next year? Details coming very soon...

All Week: Year 2 students begin break and lunchtime transition arrangements. Students begin to explore more of the campus at break and lunch times.
