Celebration, Transition, and the Journey Ahead
As we move deeper into this busy term, the energy across the Bandar campus remains incredibly high. It is a time for both looking back at how far our students have come and looking firmly toward the future. Whether it is our oldest students preparing for their final milestones (Yr13 IB students' last day next week) or our Primary students inviting parents in to see their progress, there is a wonderful sense of community at the heart of everything we do.
Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs)
Our Term 3 ECA programme is officially ready to launch next week, and it has been fantastic to see the enthusiasm for the variety of activities on offer.
Start Date: ECAs will begin next week.
Confirmation: Individual emails have been sent to confirm placements for each child.
Access: You can view your child’s specific schedule at any time via EduLink.
A Celebration of Learning
We are delighted to invite you to our Celebration of Learning on Friday 24th April.
This morning is a highlight of our school calendar, providing a wonderful opportunity for parents to come into the classroom and experience learning first-hand alongside their children. This event forms a vital part of our wider reporting to parents; while our recent Parent Teacher Consultations focused on attainment and progress, this session allows you to see the 'how' of the learning journey in action.
Specific details regarding timings and classroom arrangements will be sent shortly from your respective Heads of Year via Seesaw.
Planning for Next Year
While we are focused on finishing this year strongly, behind-the-scenes planning for the next academic year is already well underway. At ISB, we believe that a supportive transition is tailored to each child's unique needs.
Next week, we will be inviting parents to provide additional feedback through a parent form. This is your opportunity to share insights about your child that we may not yet know as a school. We use this information to build our class planning and ensure the best possible experience for every student as they move into their next year group.
Additionally, I am working very closely with Georgina Cochrane, our incoming Head of Primary, and the existing leadership teams. Our collaborative focus is on ensuring a smooth, consistent, and high-quality transition for all students and families.
Milestones: From Pre-Kindy to Year 13
Next week marks a truly significant milestone as our Year 13 students reach their final day of school. It is a bittersweet moment for many; some of our Primary teachers still vividly remember these leavers when they were just starting out in their own Primary classrooms. We have students who have been part of the ISB family since Pre-Kindy, and seeing them progress through the entire school to achieve at the highest level is a testament to the strength of our community. We wish them the very best in their final steps. 👏
Updates & Reminders
House Games: Next week brings our final round of House Games! This is the last big chance for students to score points for their houses and display that fantastic house pride we saw during the Talent Show. House Shirts required (dates below).
School Production: The clock is ticking on our "Around the World" journey. Look out for show tickets coming online very soon, you won’t want to miss this ambitious production.
Year 4 Sleepover: We are pleased to confirm that the Year 4 sleepover is officially on the calendar. This is a vital step in developing independence and teamwork skills (dates below).
Thank you for your continued partnership and for the energy you bring to our school community every day. If you have any questions about any aspect of school life, please do not hesitate to message in Seesaw.
