Welcome back to Term 2 of the academic year. I hope you’ve had a restful break and are ready for another fantastic term of learning. Preparations are well underway to ensure an engaging and rewarding experience for all our students.
The first day of school for all students is Tuesday 7th January, and we can’t wait to see everyone back. A special welcome to all new students and families joining the ISB community this term. We’re thrilled to have you with us and look forward to supporting your journey.

Year 3 Staffing
We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Sier back to ISB shortly after the start of Term 2. With Mrs. Ball now on maternity leave, Mrs. Sier will take over as the teacher for Class 3B for the remainder of the academic year. Having taught Year 2 last year before her own maternity leave, Mrs. Sier is already familiar with the Year 3 cohort, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity for the students.
Year 5 Devices
A reminder that all Year 5 students will begin our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programme on Friday 10th January. Parents of Year 5 students are invited to a special 'setup' session, which will take place in the Year 5 classrooms on the same day. Keep an eye on Seesaw for further details, along with this comprehensive overview page. (Please note, the BYOD programme for Year 6 remains unchanged.)
Yr3 to Yr6 PE 🏃 🏃♀️
Please be aware that during the first week of Term 2, all students in Year 3 to Year 6 will have Athletics for both of their PE lessons. This focused practice is essential preparation for the upcoming Sports Days. The dates are listed below.
