Head of Primary Message Week 39

As we reach the end of another wonderful academic year at ISB, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you for your support, your positivity, your trust, and above all, for being such an integral part of our school community.

A school is so much more than a collection of smart buildings, dedicated adults, and curious children. At its heart, it is a living, breathing community, one that only thrives when everyone is working together. Your involvement, encouragement and open communication help us ensure that our shared mission never wavers: to achieve the very, very best outcomes for every single child.

We won’t always begin with complete alignment on how to reach those outcomes, but by maintaining our shared belief in doing what’s best for the children, we always reach the right destination. It’s your trust in us, in the school, and in the process that allows this to happen. What we have here at ISB is very special, and preserving it is a collective responsibility. The kindness, support and collaboration that you show every day are what keep us all on course.

As we close the year, we also take a moment to say goodbye to some members of our community. As is always the case in a vibrant international school, a number of students and staff will be moving on to new adventures, both in Brunei and beyond. To those families and colleagues, we wish you every success and happiness. Please know that you’ve played an important part in shaping this school and nurturing the community we are all proud of.

And just as we say farewell to some, we also look ahead with excitement to welcoming many new families, students and staff to the ISB family in August. We can’t wait for them to experience the warmth, spirit and sense of belonging that defines our school.

If you're travelling over the break, I wish you safe journeys and plenty of memorable moments. And when we return, we look forward to hearing your stories, seeing your smiles, and picking up right where we left off.

And finally, parents… tag, you’re it! Over to you for the next few weeks. We'll be here, resting up and recharging, ready to go again in August.

Before I sign off, just a small reminder that on the top of each Seesaw account you’ll find a pinned note with helpful links, including a full overview of the curriculum for the term ahead. If you’re curious about what’s coming up, it’s all there and ready to explore.

Thank you again for everything. Have a fantastic break, and see you very soon.
