Head of Primary Message Week 37

What an incredible way to end the penultimate week of the school year! We had an awesome Rock Gig on the Piano Steps this morning to highlight the immense achievements of our top 50 Times Tables Rock Stars. We welcomed Max, Natesh and Bradley back to ISB and they provided us with live rock guitars at max volume 11. Look out for the photos and videos as we release them over the next few days. A special congratulations to Roohan who posted the fastest time of the day, averaging 0.39 seconds per question! A phenomenal achievement and such speedy responses to random multiplication questions up to 12 x 12.

Today was also the day for the House Captains to hand over to the new student leaders for the next academic year. We will also release full details as well as photos shortly but it was clear to see that the student leadership is in very good hands.

In addition to all that, we were delighted to welcome a local author (and ISB parent) in to Year 1 this morning to share a wonderful story with local connections. Year 1 students thoroughly enjoyed engaging with the story and were inspired to write their own.

At this time of the school year, we are preparing to report to parents. This reporting will include attainment, progress, achievement and wellbeing. This year, like no other, we have seen significant disruptions to learning and it is really important that all parents have a good understanding of our ethos, methodology and philosophy. In order to share this information, I have put together a few thoughts in the video below to give an overview. If this raises any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via a message in Seesaw.
