Head of Primary Message Week 13

Wow! 🤩 What an amazing International Day 🌏. From the electric atmosphere at the Piano Steps as we welcomed each nation, to the performances in the Sports Hall and the vast array of food on offer across the campus, to the country stalls set up by students. The whole day came together to be an incredible celebration of all things ISB.

All together, we waved our flags and paraded our nations' colours. Celebrating the very best of our International School culture. The entire community was on top form and sang loud and proud. A cacophony of sound.

From the rock and jazz bands to student performances and solos, the entertainment in the Sports Hall was outstanding. There were performances from South Korea 🇰🇷, France 🇫🇷, South Africa 🇿🇦, Indonesia 🇮🇩, Philippines 🇵🇭, Timor-Leste 🇹🇱, China 🇨🇳, Brunei 🇧🇳, Nepal 🇳🇵, Bollywood 🇮🇳, Australia 🇦🇺 and many more. 👏

The food was delicious. The ISB community shared delicacies from their home nations; sweet treads, traditional flavours and new tastes, far too many to mention. 😋

Our students show a remarkable level of open-mindedness, curiosity, and adaptability that are essential qualities for success in the fast-paced and dynamic world that awaits them. In classrooms and beyond, we witness a generation that is not only receptive to diverse ideas and perspectives but actively seeks them out.

This openness is a testament to the inclusive environment we strive to create within our ISB school community. Our staff are dedicated to fostering an atmosphere where creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration are not just encouraged but celebrated. We believe that by embracing a broad range of perspectives, our students are better prepared to face the challenges and opportunities of the future.

The world is changing rapidly, and it requires individuals who can think outside the box, empathise with others, and find innovative solutions to complex problems. Our students are not just learning facts and figures; they are developing the skills and attitudes needed to thrive in a global society.

As parents, you play a crucial role in nurturing and supporting this open-mindedness at home. Encourage your children to explore different interests, engage in conversations about the world around them, and celebrate diversity. By doing so, you contribute to the development of well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient but also socially aware and compassionate.

Let us look ahead with confidence and excitement, knowing that the future is in the hands of a generation that values inclusivity, embraces change, and welcomes the richness of diversity. Together, we can empower our children to create a brighter and more harmonious world. This was encapsulated today during International Day.

There will have been a plethora of photos and videos taken throughout the day. Please remember to share them far and wide, spreading positive messages from a fantastic school community. 📸

I hope everyone enjoyed a fantastic International Day 2023.
