Join us as we celebrate Book Week. At ISB, we nurture a love of reading and stories.

Your Story Competition 🎙️

A special Book Week announcement for all students in Yr1 to Yr6.

We are on the lookout for a small number of students with Star Quality 🤩

This is a fantastic opportunity to share your story with the whole world via Spotify, Google and Apple Podcasts. You have the option to create and record your own original story or you can share a story that represents your culture or home country. Perhaps your favourite short story by your favourite author, from any country or in any language. Or maybe a traditional tale celebrating your heritage. The choice is yours...

Applications will close in the first week of Term 3, so there is no rush. The winning entries will be invited to go to a professional recording studio for the day where they will record and publish their story to the world. Students will also learn all about the technology used to create professional quality recordings, they will be involved in the sound engineering process and will also help to create sound effects. This is a wonderful experience and we can't wait to hear the results.

Apply now in this form.

As part of your application, we would like you to upload a sample of your story. What can I upload?

You can upload a short recording (no more than 1min) of you reading your story. An audio file recorded on a phone is just fine. Alternatively, you can upload a short video of you reading your story.

You may need your parents to help with this as a Google account is required in order to upload a file.

ISB Book Reviews 👏

We are proud to present the ISB Primary Book Reviews, where students from across Year 3 to Year 6 share their love of reading.

At ISB, we understand the importance of reading outside of school every day and the Book Review Blogs are a fantastic tool to ensure we continue to nurture and celebrate a love of reading. These Book Review Blogs help to create a healthy community of readers and build an authentic culture of literacy, with reading at its core. Readers are celebrated and their reviews are published to the world. Peers engage, interact and encourage ongoing dialogue relating to what they have enjoyed reading.

Parents are also welcome to interact with the Book Review Blogs, further enhancing the overall reading culture.

Non-Screen Activities for Book Lovers

To Be Continued...

We are proud to present the ISB Primary Podcast: Stories from ISB Primary. There are stories from the ISB Library, stories from famous voices and stories from ISB staff for the entire ISB community to enjoy.
