This week was a short week at ISB Seria.
We welcomed the pupils back yesterday and today we celebrated the anniversary of World Book Day! The pupils certainly enjoyed talking about their favourite books and took part in some exciting Book Day activities – including designing a new book cover for an author in Panaga!
Mr. Davies set a challenge of EXTREME READING and asked parents to send in photographs of pupils reading in strange, unusual and crazy locations. Some of the Extreme Reading highlight can be seen below.
All pupils were given the opportunity to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. As always, the pupils and parents did not fail to impress! The day started with a parade around the playground so the whole school could see the fantastic costumes and applaud the efforts.
Throughout the busy day, the older pupils visited children in Pre-Kindy, Kindy and Reception in a ‘shared reading’ project. This project is successfully used across the school and across year groups as part of our usual practice. Today was extra special as pupils celebrated reading, in costume, with friends and peers.

Please see below for some of the costumes worn by the pupils and staff, in addition to photographs of the shared reading between Year 6/7 and Reception classes.
ECAs start again next week (please remember that Robotics does not start until the 8th May). If you indicated that you were interested in your son/daughter having violin lessons, your details have been passed on the Violin teacher who will be in touch.
