Head of Seria Campus Message

I am delighted to report that another exciting week has come to a close for all our ISB Seria pupils – both virtually and on campus. With extra Malay and Mandarin provision (with more to come in the future too), the pupils at ISB Seria have even more opportunities to excel

Pupils have been relentless in their work and the achievement videos (links below and featured on ISB social media) show the determination and perseverance of our tremendous community. Showing off their skills, knowledge and using a creative approach to learning, the pupils from Pre-Kindy, Kindy and Reception are delighted to share the following highlights. (EYFS Week 4)

Year 1 have been writing sentences using adjectives, whilst comparing old and new toys. The pupils certainly enjoyed designing and making their own toy inventions this week.

The continuing adventures of Mrs. Mole I’m Home! has been the focus for Year 2 with the pupils making predictions about the story. Year 2 have also made colourful posters to even the needs of a baby. Year 3 have been investigating tornadoes and finding out about the scientific equipment needed to measure the speed of these phenomenal natural disasters. (Year 1 – 3 Highlights)

Year 4 have been busy designing a ‘Dinosaur Zoo’ to feature in a forthcoming animated movie in addition to writing a survival guide based on their ‘Antarctic Adventures’. Grammar and punctuation have been the focus for the Year 5 and 6 pupils. Year 5 have enjoyed interactive Maths by measuring objects in their home and Year 6 have further developed their advanced multiplication skills. (Year 4 – 6 Highlights)

I am sure you will join me in congratulating the hard work of all the ISB pupils, parents and staff.

Just to remind all parents that there will be no school next Tuesday (1st February) as the ISB community will be celebrating Chinese New Year. No virtual work will be set or marked and the campus will be closed to pupils as we wish everyone Chong Xi Fa Cai.

Have a restful weekend!
