Head of Seria Campus Message

Week 2 of Term 2 has come to an end and the pupils at ISB Seria have been hard at work creating models inspired by stories, making volcanoes, writing diaries and completing challenging maths tasks. It has certainly been a busy week and the highlight videos (below) show just some of the many learning opportunities created for our Seria pupils – and the extraordinary effort the pupils are putting into their work.

This week, the Pre-Kindy and Kindy pupils have been solving maths problems with numbers up to 15. Reception have been making resources to re-enact the story of ‘Humpty Dumpty’ and even creating their own ‘spider-web’ maze! Highlights from EYFS can be seen HERE.

Year 1 have been busy sorting and grouping items in Maths. Year 2 have been looking at ‘arrays’ in Maths and have also produced wonderful writing as part of the ‘Free Write Friday’ activity. Year 3 have been busy designing and building their own volcano and filming their spectacular ‘eruptions’. Highlights from Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 can be seen HERE.

Year 4 have been creating animations. Year 5 have been writing diary entries and Year 6 have been creating their own ‘Terrarium’. Highlights from Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 can be seen HERE.

Congratulations to all pupils, parents and staff for making the ISB virtual provision such a huge success!

Campus is reopening on Monday 17th January for our Pre-School learners and we are very much looking forward to welcoming these pupils back to campus in accordance with our ‘School Opening Plan’.

In order to fully prepare all pupils for their return to campus, hopefully in the near future, some classes will have new teachers starting on Monday. This was always the plan once school was reopened, but preparations have started for when we are given permission to allow other year groups on site.

Finally, please have a restful weekend and I look forward to seeing Pre-Kindy and Kindy pupils and parents on Monday morning.

Have a wonderful weekend!
