A wonderful week of learning, full of joy. This week has been Eco Week ♻️ 🌱 with various activities taking place across the campus. Students have been planting, potting and upcycling. Students also shared ideas in a special Eco assembly and are busy preparing for the next Celebration of Learning morning on Friday 19th May. On this day, we will welcome parents to join us on campus to participate in eco-themed activities.
The solar eclipse was also observed this week, with students wearing special glasses to observe the moon passing in front of the sun.
Year 5 have been in the Science labs recently, experimenting and investigating changing materials. They have been exploring matter and defining the properties of solids, liquids and gasses.
Congratulations to the Lunchtime Rangers 🤠 who have been selected this week. I know that Beatrix, Dominic, Jordan, Joshua, Kamila, Karishma, Lisheng, Livvy, Merna, Nur, Oscar, Peyton, Roohan, Ryan, Siddhant, Stanley and Yara will do a fantastic job. More news to follow shortly. 👏
The Primary Student Council have also been busy this week, collating ideas and suggestions from across the school in preparation for an important meeting with the Primary Leadership Team.
We have added a brand new story to the ISB Primary Podcast 🎙️ this week. The story originates from India and is read by Mrs Rohini. We plan to share a new story each week with the full back catalogue available here on the Primary Newsfeed and on Spotify and Google podcasts.
This week Pre Kindy have been chopping fruit 🍉, Kindy have been building Lego 👷♀️, Reception have been sharing their reading 📚, Year 1 have been finding out where rain comes from ☔️, Year 2 have been publishing their writing ✍️, Year 3 have been defining different types of rock 🪨, Year 4 have been multiplying by two digits ✖️, Year 5 have been punctuating direct speech 🗣️ and Year 6 have been transferring electrons from their hair to a balloon 🎈.
